203 CATEGORICAL REQUIREMENTS (AAM)

An individual who requests assistance under an adult program must be determined eligible according to certain criteria for that program. These criteria are referred to as the categorical requirements and are listed below.

The individual must also meet general and financial requirements. These requirements are described in Chapter300 , Nonfinancial Criteria ; Chapter 400 , Resources ; Chapter500 , Income ; and Chapter600 , Standards and Budgets .

Exception: Certain refugees who do not meet the categorical requirements for OAA, APTD, or ANB may be eligible for Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) or Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA). See the Family Assistance Manual, Part 247, Refugee Assistance, for more information.
