213 SPECIFIED LOW-INCOME MEDICARE BENEFICIARY AND SLMB135 (AAM)

The Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary programs (SLMB SLMB135) provide limited medical assistance coverage to help certain individuals pay their Medicare Part B (supplemental insurance) premium and premium penalties for late enrollment.

SLMB and SLMB135 provide full payment of the Medicare Part B premium to eligible individuals.

To be eligible for assistance under SLMB or SLMB135 *, an individual must be entitled to Medicare Part B insurance as determined by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

SLMB medical assistance is determined without regard to eligibility for any other public assistance program.

SLMB135 * medical assistance recipients may not be otherwise eligible for Medicaid, including Medicaid In and Out.
