315.01 Requirements for Developing Potential Sources of Income (AAM)

Individuals who are potentially eligible to receive other income or a benefit are required to:

. apply for the other income or benefit, including providing all required information and verification and completing all forms as required in the application process for the other income or benefit;

. cooperate in taking the necessary steps to obtain the other income or benefit;

. accept the other income or benefit, if eligible; and

. pursue all appeal options within the timeframes set by the eligibility-determining agencies or individuals responsible for the other income or benefits, up to, but not including, court action, if found ineligible for the other income or benefit due to medical reasons.

Refer individuals to the appropriate agency to apply for other income or benefits. Individuals must file an application for other income or benefits and verify that they have applied, are cooperating with the application process, and are pursuing all appeal options, if required.

Applicants for OAA, APTD, and ANB financial assistance must apply for all income and benefits for which the applicant is potentially entitled, including SSI and SSA-related benefits, and verify that application has been made, before the financial assistance application can be processed.
