703.05 Funeral Director Responsibilities SR 94-04, 04/94 (AAM-A)

Do not assist the funeral director in making funeral or burial arrangements. Do not assign any lump sum death benefits to the funeral director. It is the funeral director’s responsibility to secure lump sum death benefits, including those from SSA, VA, and RRB.
