703.07 Required Verification SR 94-04, 04/94 (AAM-A)

Upon notification of the death of a financial assistance recipient, verify all of the following:

• The individual was a financial assistance recipient at the time of death.

• The total cost of the proceedings do not exceed $1,500 and all costs associated with proper disposition are included on the funeral director’s bill.

• All personal property resources and payment from outside sources are applied to the cost of the proper disposition.

Use any document or collateral contact which reasonably establishes the eligibility requirements.
