State Run and Designated Acute Psychiatric Bed Data

Daily report of available acute psychiatric beds in New Hampshire

Designated Receiving Facilities (DRFs) are facilities designated by DHHS to provide psychiatric treatment to involuntary patients. The Adult Daily Report and Children’s Daily Report are based on bed utilization information that is entered daily by each DRF. The report includes the waitlist for acute psychiatric inpatient treatment in NH. The “Adults Awaiting Involuntary Emergency Admission” and “Children Waiting” data are updated daily by the NHH Care Traffic Control (CTC) team, which receives referrals from emergency rooms and Correctional Facilities, and is responsible for identifying an available DRF bed for those patients. This data compares the demand for emergency involuntary psychiatric beds with the current supply.
