117 APPLICATION PROCESSING TIME FRAMES (FAM)

An application must be acted upon promptly and without undue delay. For all categories of financial assistance, generate a Notice of Decision (NOD) to the individual as soon as eligibility has been determined, but no later than:

•       45 calendar days from the application date

Exception - Generate the NOD as soon as possible within the 45 days described above except when:

•       A decision cannot be reached because the applicant delays or fails to take a required action; or

•       There is an administrative or other emergency beyond DHHS's control.
