CORRECTIVE PAYMENTS (FAM)

A payment of money by DHHS to individuals who received less than they were entitled to.

Treatment: Countable resource in the second month after the month of receipt. Count only the remaining balance.

Example

An individual received a corrective payment in March. Any balance remaining is not considered a resource in April. However, if any balance remains from the payment in May, count the balance as a resource.
