131 ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATIONS SR 94-50, 09/94 (FAM-A)

District Office DFA workers determine eligibility for all programs. Final authority for all eligibility decisions made by DFA workers rests with the District Office DFA supervisor.

Unless supervisory approval is required by policy, determine eligibility based on the following policy:

• Chapter 200 Program Criteria,

• Chapter 300 Nonfinancial Criteria, and

• Chapter 600 Standards and Budgets.

Exceptions:

• Contract health clinic staff make presumptive eligibility decisions for Medical Assistance programs for poverty level children and pregnant women.

• Child day care eligibility is determined by contract agencies as well as DFA workers. Determine eligibility based on Chapter 900 Child Day Care.

Bring to the attention of the DFA supervisor, or other designated individual, any situation which requires help, consultation, or review prior to making a decision.
