134.05 Requirements for Two Parent Families SR 11-30, 07/11 (FAM-A)

Whenever a 2-parent assistance group is requesting a FANF Hardship Extension to the 60-month state lifetime limit, the following applies:

• If both parents in the assistance group have received *FANF financial assistance for 54 or more months on the day the assistance group signs the official FANF Hardship Extension request, both parents must meet one or more of the hardship specified in Section 134.03, Specified FANF Hardship Extension Criteria;

• If one parent has received *FANF financial assistance for 54 or more months and the other parent has received *FANF financial assistance for less than 54 months on the day the assistance group signs the official FANF Hardship Extension request, only the parent who has received *FANF financial assistance for 54 or more months must meet a hardship criterion; and

• If the other parent described in bullet 2 above exceeds 54 months of receipt of *FANF financial assistance during a 6-month FANF Hardship Extension period, the assistance group may continue to receive *FANF financial assistance for the entire 6-month FANF Hardship Extension period based on one parent meeting one or more hardship criteria. When the 6-month FANF Hardship Extension period ends, each parent must meet one or more of the specified hardship criteria if the assistance group requests an additional FANF Hardship Extension.
