161.01 Timely Notice SR 99-26, 06/99 (FAM-A)

Inform each individual of the need for a redetermination in order for benefits to be continued.

Notify individuals that they are required to participate in a face-to-face interview for redetermination or mail redetermination based on their households circumstances.

Face-to-Face Interview for Redetermination

Use Form 807, Interview Appointment Notice, to notify individuals required to participate in a face-to-face interview for redetermination. Form 807 advises the individual:

• That an eligibility interview has been scheduled for them;

• That they must call if they are unable to attend and wish to continue receiving benefits; and

• The effect their failure to attend may have on their benefits.

Form 807 is sent to the individual in the month prior to the month the redetermination is scheduled.

Mail Redeterminations

Individuals participating in a mail redetermination must be granted a face-to-face interview if one is requested by the household or by the authorized representative.

The appropriate mail redetermination package will be sent to eligible cases by the 15th of the month prior to the month the redetermination is due.

Individuals receiving MCPW, HKG-185, HKG-300, and HKS, with or without child care, are eligible to participate in the mail redetermination process.

Children with Severe Disabilities (CSD) are not eligible to participate in the mail-in redetermination process.

Exception: Recipients of Healthy Kids-Gold medical coverage for Home Care for Children with Severe Disabilities (HKG-HCCSD), also known as "Katie Beckett," are eligible to participate in the mail-in redetermination process unless they also receive food stamps.

Notification to cases that are going to be participating in the mail redetermination process is accomplished when the following is sent:

• Form 800, Application, for HC-CSD, or

• Form 800P, Application For New Hampshire Healthy Kids Medical Insurance or Medical Coverage For Pregnant Women, and Form 800CP, Annual Eligibility Review for New Hampshire Healthy Kids Medical Insurance, for MCPW, HKG-185, HKG-300, or HKS;
