205.01 Children Up To Age 19 SR 99-03, 02/99 (FAM-A)

Children up to age 19 may be eligible for Healthy Kids-Gold medical coverage through the following TANF-related medical assistance programs. See Part 219.

• HKG-185: Healthy Kids-Gold medical coverage for children aged 0-19 with income no higher than 185% of federal poverty income guidelines,

• HKG-300: Healthy Kids-Gold medical coverage for infants up to age 1 with income greater than 185%, but no higher than 300%, of federal poverty income guidelines, and

• HKG-CH: Healthy Kids-Gold medical coverage for children aged 0-19 who are eligible for In and Out medical assistance;

Exception: Children under age 19 who are pregnant should have their eligibility for medical coverage initially determined according to the requirements for Medical Coverage for Pregnant Women (MCPW), as there are special benefits associated with this coverage group. See Part 221, Pregnant Women.

Children under age 19 not eligible for Healthy Kids-Gold under any other category may qualify for Healthy Kids-Silver medical insurance. See Part 220, Healthy Kids-Silver Medical Insurance.
