209.11 Incapacity: 30-Day Incapacity Requirement SR 08-04, 04/08 (FAM-A)

For incapacity to qualify as deprivation, the incapacity must substantially reduce the parent’s ability to support or care for the child(ren) and must persist for at least 30 continuous days from the application date for financial assistance*.

To qualify for retroactive *medical assistance due to incapacity, the incapacity must have lasted at least 30 days in the 90-day period prior to the application date.
