209.35 Temporary Adjustment Period SR 97-09, 03/97 (FAM-A)

Cases which lose deprivation due to incapacity or absence are automatically entitled to extended benefits for the month that the deprivation ceases (e.g., the original parent returns to the household) and also for the calendar month that follows.

During this temporary adjustment period, case income and resources may change without affecting the case. Do not consider the need, income, or resources of an absent parent who returns. Other changes such as no dependent children or loss of New Hampshire residency do affect the temporary adjustment period.

Cases which lose deprivation due to unemployment are not entitled to a temporary adjustment period and may not exceed TANF financial assistance limits for either income or number of hours of employment.
