Include the following individuals in the same TANF MA-only group:

• All children who are blood, adoptive, or step-related siblings, provided they:

- live with a specified relative,

- are under the age of 18 or are age 18 or 19 and full-time students in secondary school or its equivalent.

- meet all nonfinancial criteria for TANF financial assistance, and

- are deprived of parental support or care due to death, continued absence, or incapacity of the parent, or unemployment of the parent who is the principal wage earner.

• All natural, adoptive, and step-related parents of the children in the assistance group unless receiving SSI or OAA, APTD, or ANB financial assistance.

Exceptions:

• Do not include individuals in the TANF MA-only group if they are ineligible for any reason other than income or resources.

• When three generations live in the same home, include a minor parent in the same TANF medical assistance group as their siblings if assistance has also been requested for the siblings. A minor parent must be under age 20 and meet the definition of a dependent child.

If the minor parent requests assistance for their own children, include those children in the same assistance group as their minor parent.
