215.05 Who Is Not A Member SR 10-11, 01/10 (FAM-A)

Do not include ineligible family members in any FANF MA-only assistance group if they are ineligible for a reason other than income or resources which exceed the limits.

Examples

The following are reasons why individuals may be ineligible. These are not the only reasons.

• An individual receives foster care financial or medical assistance, or OAA, APTD, or ANB financial assistance.

• An individual did not meet alien or citizenship requirements.

• An individual has not furnished or applied for a social security number.

 Exception: For some newborns, *social security number requirements may be waived for up to 1 year. See PART*, 309.

When an ineligible individual’s status changes so that there is no longer any reason for the individual not to be included, add the individual to the FANF medical assistance group.
