219 CHILDREN UP TO AGE 19 SR 99-03, 02/99 (FAM-A)

For eligible children, provide Healthy Kids-Gold medical coverage through the day of the month before the day the child turns 19 years of age.

Program criteria require that the child be a:

• U.S. citizen or eligible qualified alien, and

• New Hampshire resident.

The child must also meet the listed requirements for one of the following programs in order to be eligible for that coverage group:

Exception: Children under age 19 who are pregnant should have their eligibility for medical coverage initially determined according to the requirements for Medical Coverage for Pregnant Women (MCPW), as there are special benefits associated with this coverage group. See Part 221, Pregnant Women.

 

HKG-300 Infants must be screened for potential eligibility for Healthy Kids-Silver medical insurance (HKS) in the month prior to the month in which the infants 1st birthday occurs, and referred to NHHKC for HKS enrollment. Do not require a new application when HKS is initiated in this manner. See FAM 220, Healthy Kids-Silver Medical Insurance.
