222.09 Family Planning MA Allowable Deductions SR 13-30, 07/13 (FAM-A)

Individuals with earnings are allowed a flat $90 employment expense deduction. See Section 603.03, Employment Expense Deduction (EED). Additionally, the following verified deductions or disregards may also be subtracted from the individual’s gross income:

• child/dependent care disregard for employed individuals, per Section 603.05, Child/Dependent Care Deduction;

• income allocated to dependents, per Section 603.09, Other Allowable Deductions: Income Allocated to Dependents;

• garnishments from an individual’s earnings to repay a legal debt, per Section 603.09, Other Allowable Deductions: Garnishments;

• training expenses, per Section 603.09, Other Allowable Deductions: Training Expenses; and

• any court-ordered payments, such as child or spousal support, as described in Section 603.09, Other Allowable Deductions: Court Ordered Child or Spousal Support Payments.
