303.09 Out-of-State Recipient Moves into New Hampshire SR 06-12, 10/06 (FAM-A)

When an individual received benefits in another state, coordinate with the out-of-state agency to establish eligibility dates for New Hampshire benefits.

• For TANF/UP financial assistance, ensure that the individual did not receive TANF financial assistance benefits from an out-of-state agency for dates covered by the first assistance from New Hampshire. This is not a requirement for medical assistance.

• Contact the out-of-state agency to verify the total number of months each assistance group member received TANF financial assistance as an adult or minor casehead in that state. Apply those months towards both the 60-month federal and state lifetime limit for each adult or minor casehead in the NHEP/FAP/UP financial assistance group. Do not count any months of receipt of financial assistance other than those funded by that state’s federal TANF block grant.
