307.03 Medical Assistance: Designated Receiving Facilities SR 95-11, 03/95 (FAM-A)

Medical assistance benefits are available to individuals who meet all the following criteria:

• The individual meets all the eligibility requirements for an TANF medical assistance child.

 Exceptions:

- The child need not live with a specified relative.

- The child need not be deprived of the support or care of a parent.

• The individual is hospitalized in a designated receiving facility.

• Countable income and resources do not exceed the TANF medical assistance limits in Chapter 600, Standards and Budgets.

If the individual was receiving medical assistance at the time of hospitalization, the rules concerning temporary absence apply. See Section 207.05, Dependent Child, Living with a Specified Relative.
