311.13 Cooperation SR 97-03, 02/97 (FAM-A)

The individual must cooperate with efforts to obtain support, to identify liable relatives, and to establish the paternity of a child for whom assistance is requested. Notify individuals of the cooperation requirement and that they must:

• help establish the paternity of a child for whom assistance is requested,

• identify and locate the absent parent or liable grandparent of a child for whom aid is claimed,

• obtain child or spousal support payments or property due the child or spouse,

• contact the County Attorney when referred by the Division of Child Support Services,

• appear as a witness in court or other proceedings, and

• provide information relevant to proving a good cause claim for refusal to cooperate.
