613 Rounding Procedures SR 98-51 Dated 12/98 (FAM-A) |
Once the assistance group has been found eligible, and the net income has been subtracted from the payment standard, if the amount:
• of the grant ends in $.01–$.99, round down to the nearest dollar;
• ends in zero cents, the result is the actual monthly grant.
1. If the actual monthly grant amount before adjustments are applied is less than $10.00, no payment is made.
2. If the actual monthly grant amount is equal to $10 or more but the check amount after adjustments is less than $2.00 ($1.00 per check) issued each month, enter a smaller adjustment amount to ensure the individual receives $1.00.
Example
An applicant’s net monthly income is $300.75, compared with a $516 payment standard.
$516 (payment standard) – $300.75 (net income) = $215.25 monthly grant before rounding.
Round the monthly grant down to $215.
