To be considered employed, an individual must be receiving payment or in-kind compensation for work performed.

Families not receiving FANF financial assistance who are participating in a paid internship or work study must be considered employed for the work hours and have any income received counted as part of the family's monthly gross income. See Section 933.03, Required Income Verification.
