Allow payments for child care services regardless of the length of time necessary to complete any of the following preparatory programs so long as the individual is making satisfactory progress:
• High School Diploma,
• English as a Second Language (ESL).
• General Educational Development (GED), or
• Adult Basic Education (ABE),
Exception:
Payment for child care services cannot exceed two calendar years for NHEP participants engaged in Adult Basic Education or GED classes that meet for a minimum of 30 hours per week, unless the recipients are under age 21 or individuals with a documented learning disability.
Allow payment for child care services to TANF financial assistance recipients to complete any of the following:
• Work-study; or
• Internships required by an institution in order to complete a program.
