Continue to consider an individual in training or education during a verified medical leave for the duration of the medical leave or for a total of 6 weeks in a calendar year, whichever is less. The training or education institution must indicate that the individual will be assured of immediate re-entry into the training or degree program at the end of the leave*

The level of service that is authorized for the individual prior to the start of his/her medical leave must remain the same for the duration of the verified medical leave.
Medical leave may also be used for the individual to care for the other parent of the common child living in the household or another child living in the household.
Even though the parent is not actively participating in their training activity, NH Child Care Scholarship payments will be made when the child attends child care during the medical leave.
Close child care if 6 weeks of medical leave have been used in a calendar year and the individual does not return to their education or training program.
