943.01 Required Co-Payment SR 01-02, 05/01 (FAM-A)

Inform individuals who do not receive TANF financial assistance or 12 month EMA based on loss of financial assistance that they must contribute to the cost of the child care they receive. Explain that the Department deducts a co-payment from the child care service payment when the rate charged by a noncontract provider is less than or equal to the maximum allowable reimbursement rate. The amount of the co-payment is determined by the family’s income eligibility level.
