945 PAYMENT FOR CONTRACT AGENCY SERVICES SR 97-28, 08/97 (FAM-A)

The District Office is not involved with the contract agency child care payment process.

The contract agency bills the Department for child care services provided to eligible individuals, and the Department pays the contract agency directly. Individuals are responsible for paying the contract agency for costs which exceed the amount of the Department’s payment.

Contract agencies providing child care to NHEP clients must obtain a copy of the EP or a signed statement from the NHEP team certifying the client’s participation in the NHEP Program and the approved component(s).

Exception: For TANF financial assistance recipients without an EP or in unapproved post-secondary education or in employment, require a note from the Case Technician verifying the individual’s eligibility and participation.
