947 PAYMENT FOR ABSENTEE DAYS SR 06-12, 10/06 (FAM-A)

Contract and non-contract child care providers are eligible to submit claims for days that a child was absent from child care if all of the following conditions are met:

• The child is open in a TANF/UP financial assistance case;

• The child care provider was open for business during the hours and days for which the absences are being claimed;

• The child was scheduled to attend child care on the days and hours for which the absences are claimed;

• Payment for absentee days does not exceed 10 days in any six-month period;

• The absence is the result of medical reason or family emergency; and

• For contract agency providers, the period of the absence does not exceed ten consecutive days without a signed and dated statement from a licensed medical professional describing the reason for the absence.
