ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS (NHEP/FAP, OAA, ANB, APTD, SSI) (FSM)

Households in which all members receive SSI, FANF, OAA, ANB, OR APTD financial assistance benefits are categorically resource-eligible for Food Stamps.

For non-categorically eligible households, exclude the resources of any individual household member who is a recipient of SSI, FANF, OAA, ANB, OR APTD financial assistance.

Recipient is defined as anyone authorized for a financial assistance payment, even if not actually receiving one yet. Recipient also is defined as anyone for whom FANF benefits are suspended, recouped, or not paid because the grant is less than the minimum benefit.

Exception: Individuals whose SSI benefits have been suspended for failing to comply with required drug and/or alcohol treatment are not considered recipients. See Section 231.01 , Categorical Eligibility Criteria.
