Monthly living allowances, educational awards, child care allowances and health care benefits made under the National and Community Service Trust Act of 1993, P.L. 103-82 to AmeriCorps participants.

The AmeriCorps Network consists of 3 separate programs based on the participants age and type of service performed:

• AmeriCorps State and National (age 17 and older) Title II Programs, including:

- AmeriCorps Victims Assistance Program (AVAP) and AVAP Afterschool Program;

City Year;

Foster Grandparents;

- Green Corps;

Goodwill Industries;

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP); and

- Student Conservation Association;

• AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America, age 18 and older) Title I Programs, including:

- Campus Compact for New Hampshire;

Families in Transition; and

New Hampshire Catholic Charities

• AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps, age 18 to 24) Title II Program.

Treatment:

• Child care payments, educational awards, and health care benefits are excluded income by federal mandate.

• Any payment under Title II of the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973, P.L. 93-113, including the monthly living allowance from AmeriCorps State and National and AmeriCorps NCCC, is excluded income.
