SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (SSA) BENEFITS (FSM)

Retirement, Survivors, Disability Insurance (RSDI) benefits paid to or on behalf of individuals by the Social Security Administration (SSA). See Chapter 600, Standards and Budgets.

A gross SSA benefit is the total monthly amount the individual is entitled to receive. A net SSA benefit is the gross monthly amount minus a Part B premium deduction.

Total gross SSA benefit is unearned income.
