145.03 What to Report SR 02-32, 10/02 (FSM-A)

Households must report all of the following changes unless the household meets the exception criteria below:

Unearned Income. Changes in:

• Source; and

• Amount of gross monthly unearned household income, if the amount changes by more than $25 in any 1 month during the entire certification period.

Exception: Changes in the amount of the public assistance grant are not required to be reported.

Earned Income. Changes in:

• Source;

• Hourly wage rate or salary; and

• Work status from full time to part time or vice versa, if the change is expected to continue for more than one month.

Other Changes That Must be Reported:

• Household composition;

• Acquisition of a registered vehicle;

• Available cash, stocks, bonds, or money in a bank or savings account if the total reaches or exceeds the maximum allowable resource limit; and

• Residence and any resulting changes in shelter costs.

Exception: Households * certified for 6 months are only required to report changes in income that cause gross household income to exceed 130% of the federal poverty income guideline for the household size. No other changes are required to be reported during the certification period, unless the 6-month certification period is shortened or an early recertification interview has been scheduled.
