229 TARGET POPULATION SR 94-04, 04/94 (FSM-A)

Certain elderly or disabled individuals are defined as the target population. Allow target population individuals the following additional income deductions and options:

. Separate household status - target population individuals may choose to be a household separate from their children or siblings.

. Gross income test - exempt a household with 1 or more target population individuals from the gross income test.

. Medical expense deduction - allow a medical expense deduction for a household with a target population individual who has medical bills that exceed $35 a month.

. Excess shelter expense deduction - allow a household with a target population individual an excess shelter deduction for the full monthly amount that exceeds 50% of the household's monthly income after other deductions.
