The Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary programs (SLMB SLMB135) provide limited medical assistance coverage to help certain individuals pay their Medicare Part B (supplemental insurance) premium and premium penalties for late enrollment.
SLMB and SLMB135 provide full payment of the Medicare Part B premium to eligible individuals.
To be eligible for assistance under SLMB or SLMB135, an individual must be entitled to Medicare Part B insurance as determined by the Social Security Administration (SSA).
SLMB medical assistance is determined without regard to eligibility for any other public assistance program.
SLMB135 medical assistance recipients may not be otherwise eligible for Medicaid, including Medicaid In and Out.
