225.03 Required Verification: Pregnant Women MA (MAM)

Pregnant Women MA uses modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) rules in the eligibility determination process. This means that MAGI rules regarding verifications are also used. See Chapters 300 and 400 for verification rules on such topics as residency, citizenship, SSN, identity, and income.

·         Self-attestation of pregnancy and number of fetuses is accepted without additional proof required.

·         Assume the presence of one fetus unless the individual claims that there is more than one.

·         Proof of income:

o   Requested at initial eligibility if there is a discrepancy during the post electronic verification process.  Continue eligibility even if the income provided shows the individuals is over the income limits or if the individual fails to provide the requested information.

o   Required at redetermination if the eligibility is not passively renewed.
