229.03 Three-Month Temporary Adjustment Period (MAM)

Extend Children with Severe Disabilities (CSD) medical assistance when the Disability Determination Unit (DDU) determines that an open CSD child no longer meets the definition of disabled. Extend the CSD medical assistance case for the month DDU determines that disability no longer exists and the next 3 full calendar months.

Exceptions:

. Do not extend the CSD medical assistance if the case is terminated for any reason other than failure to meet the disability criteria.

. Do not extend the CSD medical assistance if the individual requests an earlier termination of assistance.

Process any changes which may affect continuing eligibility during this temporary adjustment period.
