229.05 CSD Children Turning 18 Years Old (MAM)

The parent or representative of a CSD child will be automatically notified of the availability of Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled (APTD) 3 months prior to the CSD child turning 18 years old. If the parent or representative requests that the child receive assistance under APTD, provide them with the appropriate APTD forms (see the Adult Assistance Manual) and write on the Form 940, Cover Memo for Medical Eligibility Information, "Child with severe disabilities, now requesting APTD."

If APTD is not requested, terminate CSD coverage effective the day of the month in which the child turns *19.
