231.05 Three-Month Temporary Adjustment Period (MAM)

Extend Home Care for Children with Severe Disabilities (HC-CSD) medical assistance when the Disability Determination Unit (DDU) determines that an open HC-CSD child no longer meets the definition of disabled. Extend the HC-CSD medical assistance for the month DDU determines the disability no longer exists and the next 3 full calendar months.

Exceptions:

. Do not extend the HC-CSD medical assistance if the case is terminated for any reason other than failure to meet the disability criteria.

. Do not extend the HC-CSD medical assistance if the individual requests an earlier termination of assistance.

Process any changes which may affect continuing eligibility during this temporary adjustment period.
