An assistance group is an individual or group of individuals whose needs, income, and resources are included in determining eligibility.

The choice of which individuals may be included in the assistance group differs based on whether the applicant is requesting assistance for:

. OAA, ANB, MEAD, or APTD*;

. RCF, community residence, nursing facility;

. HCBC-CFI, HCBC-DD, HCBC-ABD, HCBC-IHS, HC-CSD;

. QMB, QDWI, SLMB, or SLMB135; or

. MAGI-related medical assistance.
