Add $100 for each additional member.

Allow an institutionalized individual with a community spouse to retain $2,500 plus the community spouse's protected share from the date of application until 1 year later. See PART 417, Resource Assessment, and PART 419, Protection of Resources.

For all applicants and recipients of NF, CFI, or HCBS who meet the medically needy income limit, apply a resource disregard in the appropriate amount for the AG size so that the effective resource limit is $7,500.

Example:  A household consist of a mother and 2 children (household size of 3).  The mother is open NHEP Medically Needy with a CFI approval.  The household’s total resources are $7,000.  The resource limit is $4,100.  A resource disregard will be applied in the amount of $3,400.  The household’s countable resources will be $3,600.
