Participation in TANF, SNAP, or ORR Work Requirements SR 19-04, 06/19 (MAM-A)

Meeting TANF, SNAP, or refugee assistance work requirements counts towards the community engagement requirement. Recipients who meet TANF, SNAP, or refugee assistance work requirements during a month will get credit for 100 hours of community engagement activity participation. Participation in refugee assistance will count towards the community engagement requirement for 12 months after a refugee is admitted into the United States. For refugees who have been in the United States for more than 12 months, participation in an refugee assistance work requirement will count towards the Granite Advantage community engagement requirement as Job Search Job Readiness, and will not be automatically credited at 100 hours per month. Refugees that have been in the United States for more than 12 months can still be credited 100 hours of community engagement if they are meeting a SNAP or TANF work requirement.
