Vocational Training SR 19-04, 06/19 (MAM-A)

Vocational Training means instruction that does not lead to license or certification conducted at an institutional or worksite setting to provide or upgrade the technical skills required to perform a specific job or group of jobs by a participant, including:

• Job Specific competency training;

• Job Specific School-to-Work programs;

• On-Site industry specific training;

• Customized training;

• Entrepreneurial training;

• Cooperative education; or

• Professional and Vocational Education.

Vocational Training can only count towards a recipient’s community engagement requirement for a maximum of 12 months. Vocational Training does not count towards the 100-hour community engagement requirement for any recipient who has had Vocational Training count towards the monthly community engagement requirement for 12 or more months. Recipients can report vocational education by submitting BFA Form 321, Reporting Education Participation for Community Engagement.
