505 WHOSE INCOME COUNTS? SR 13-36, 11/13 (MAM-A) |
Consider the available income of all members of the assistance group when determining eligibility. Income is always considered to belong to the individual on whose behalf it is paid e.g., child support or SSA paid on behalf of a child is considered that child’s income. Assistance group composition differs based on the type of assistance requested. See Chapter 200, Program Criteria, to determine who is included in the assistance group.
Some income is counted even if a person (such as a disqualified parent) is not part of the assistance group.
