Applied only if the MAGI applicant or recipient meets all categorical eligibility requirements for the MAGI category of medical assistance except is over income. At that point, redetermine eligibility by subtracting the 5% FPL deduction from the individual’s income based on household size. If still ineligible for the MAGI category of medical assistance, determine In and Out medical assistance.
