NEW HAMPSHIRE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

Notice is hereby given that the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (“the Department”) is proposing to make an amendment to the Title XIX State Plan Medicaid service to increase rates for inpatient hospital services, effective September 1, 2024. 

The proposed inpatient hospital services rate increase below will allow Medicaid recipients’ continued access to necessary healthcare services as well as provide further incentives for providers to remain in the Medicaid program.  

The proposed Price-per-Point rates are as follows:

  • Acute Care: $ 7,001.60 
  • CAH: $ 7,351.68 
  • Psych DPU: $ 7,351.68 
  • Psych Atypical DPU: $ 7,701.76 

The aggregate fiscal impact to the Medicaid fee for service program as a result of this rate increase is estimated to be an increase in expenditures for the remainder of FFY 2024 is estimated to be $807,137, which is made up of $403,569 federal funds and $403,568 in non-federal funds and $9,685,649 for FFY 2025, which is made of $4,842,825 federal funds and $4,842,824 in non-federal funds.
