Online Purchasing

EBT cardholders are now able to make online purchases at Amazon, ALDI, Walmart, BJ’s Warehouse Club (BJ’s), Price Chopper, Hannaford, Price Rite, McKinnon’s, Whole Foods, Shaw's, and Target can accept EBT SNAP purchases on SNAP approved items only, and any additional fees (such as delivery fees) must be paid via another form of payment.

***Walmart can accept both EBT SNAP & Cash purchases, with cash being able to be used for any additional fees and non-SNAP approved items.

Prior to making purchases the retailers’ websites should be checked to find any current promotions being offered.

Scan & Go Purchase feature (in-club)

EBT cardholders which are members of Sam’s Club will now be able to use Sam’s Club: Scan & Go Purchase feature in-club, to link an EBT card and streamline checkout at physical club locations for EBT-eligible items.

Sam’s Club may offer promotions at different times and delivery fees may be charged. Prior to making purchases the retailers’ websites should be checked to find any current promotions being offered.

Identity Theft – Protect Your EBT Benefits!

If someone calls you, don't give them personal information such as your social security number, EBT card number, or EBT pin. Even if the caller claims to be a local agency worker, a State, a Federal or an EBT official, DO NOT give them your personal information. If you suspect or know:

• That your card or card number has been stolen;
• That someone not authorized by you has gained access to your pin: or
• That someone has gained information about your identity that may result in your benefits being stolen.

You must:

• Contact EBT Customer Service (888-997-9777) to report your EBT card stolen. EBT Customer Services will deactivate your card so that no one else can use it. You can then ask for a new EBT Card.
• Change your pin or by calling EBT Customer Service, logging into the EBT cardholder Web site at www.ebtedge.com, or going to the District Office.

Note: No one has the right to ask for your pin number - this includes retailers and city welfare agencies. The pin number for your EBT account protects your information and benefits.
