This training provides information about the process used to obtain affordable housing and secure long term community based services and supports.
 

The Introduction to Centers for Independent Living training is designed to introduce participants to the history, key values and principles of Centers for Independent Living (CIL). Additionally, the training reviews how to connect with NH’s CIL, Granite State Independent Living, and offers tips for having a person-centered approach to working with individuals with a disability.

Serving Individuals with a Mental Illness is a self-paced 40 minute module designed to educate participants about mental health and illness, and the importance of utilizing person centered approaches. Additionally this training covers where and when to refer individuals for assistance.

The Introduction to Serving Individuals with a Substance Use Concern is designed to educate participants on the prevalence of substance use, how substance use can impact an individual's brain function and life overall, and the importance of utilizing person-centered approaches when assisting an individual. Additionally, the training reviews who is most at risk for a substance use disorder and where and when to refer individuals for assistance in New Hampshire.

This learning module is designed to give you an introductory understanding of New Hampshire’s system of supports for people with Developmental Disabilities and Acquired Brain Disorders. The topics covered include a description of NH’s regional delivery system, the populations served and Medicaid waivers used for funding.

"Lost in Laconia": During a time when people who were branded and stigmatized as "feebleminded" and a danger to society were banished to a life of isolation and total segregation, thousands of children and adults were institutionalized in large state operated institutions throughout the country. In the case of New Hampshire, that place was the Laconia State School.
 

In this module you’ll explore the history of community-based services in New Hampshire. You’ll learn about changes that have taken place over the past 100 years as a way to better understand how the community-based service system developed and the values that drive the system today.
 

This module will introduce you to NH’s Service System for individuals with Developmental Disability (DD) or Acquired Brain Disorder (ABD). You’ll be introduced to a number of individuals who have had impact at both the national and the individual level. The goal in presenting this information is to provide an understanding of where the system has come from and where it is today.
 

This training provides an overview of the systems of care, programs, and resources available to children and families seeking support in NH.
 

This training provides an overview of military structure, culture, tips for conducting a culturally sensitive interview, accessing resources, and information and referrals processes when serving veterans, military members, and their families.
 

In this narrated module you will learn about NH’s Developmental Services system. Topics covered include: state and regional structure, populations served and services provided, Medicaid waivers and the application/eligibility determination process.
 

This presentation gives a high level overview of Community Mental Health Centers, common mental health definitions, referral triggers, and what to do if you or a person you are working with is experiencing a mental health crisis. Examples of a “hidden referral”, and other resources are included in this narrated, interactive training.

In this module you’ll explore New Hampshire's Premium Assistance Program (PAP). You’ll learn about what PAP is, who is eligible, the enrollment process, covered benefits, who the qualified health plans are, and navigating NH EASY to explore options.
