Comprehensive Family Support Services
Information and resources on the Comprehensive Family Support Services (CFSS) home visiting program for pregnant parents and/or families with children ages 0-18 years old.
Comprehensive Family Support Services (CFSS) home visiting is a free program available to expectant parents and/or families with children ages 0-18 years at locations around the state. NH's CFSS program is designed to provide preventative services such as household management, budgeting techniques, positive parenting techniques, child development screenings, case management, resources and referrals. Enrolled families may also be eligible for preventative child care. Depending on your identified goals, services can be short-term or continue for up to twelve months.
CFSS uses a strength-based approach to empower families to meet current and future challenges with confidence. Goals for the program are to:
-
Improve maternal and child health.
-
Strengthen families
-
Encourage positive parenting.
-
Promote child development and school readiness.
Embedded in 11 Family Resource Centers (FRCs) across NH, CFSS home visitors work in conjunction with the FRC to enhance access to community-based resources and opportunities to build social connections. This can include playgroups, support groups, parent education, community events, access to concrete needs, and more.
