211 MEDICAID FOR EMPLOYED ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES (MEAD) (MAM) |

Medicaid for Employed Adults with Disabilities (MEAD) provides categorically needy medical assistance to certain disabled working individuals between the ages of 18 and 64.
To be eligible for MEAD, applicants must:
· meet MEAD medical disability criteria;
· meet MEAD employment requirements;
· meet all general and technical requirements for other adult categories of medical assistance;
· be ages 18 through 64. MEAD eligibility ends when the individual turns 65, at which time the individual is automatically evaluated for OAA/MOAD MA eligibility;
· meet MEAD income requirements;
· meet MEAD resource requirements; and
· enroll in cost-free insurance if offered by the individual’s employer.
